From time to time, people ask me how I deal with guns and children in the same house.
Simple - I teach them how to use them.
If they’re not old enough, I teach them to stay away. How do children survive in houses filled with power tools, electrical appliances, gas burners and other dangerous objects? Why should children and guns be any different?
A gun is a tool, nothing more.

My dad taught me proper firearm safety when I was 8. It’s very, very important to teach your kids firearm safety. There would be a lot less tragic accidental deaths if people knew the basic rules.
I learned when I was 10 and my pops bought my brother and I our very own first 22lr rifles. I wouldnt have it any other way… some of my fondest memories were of plinking cans out in the desert foothills with my old man.
Same here. If you don’t start teaching them young they aren’t going to have an interest.
That girl has better trigger discipline than half of tumblr.
My brother saved this document and everytime he gets angry at our neighbours for being loud he prints it to their wireless printer and you can hear the wife shout “Why the fuck would you print this AGAIN?!” to her son.
Reblog again because this is the greatest.
To make the word ‘chicken’ sinister is really a feat of art.
